I have worked in many fields with several upper level college focuses. My main interests have been in music, writing and editing, foreign languages (German, Spanish, Norwegian, Russian, Latin, and Hebrew), science, and transformational leadership. I received an undergrad Honors degree in Humanities and Social Thought, a Masters of Music Performance in violin, and I recently received an MBA (2024), graduating with a 4.0 in Organizational Development.

As a musician, I started studying harmonious sounds before I could read! I have studied and attended masterclasses with many well-renowned instructors and performers, including Pinchas Zukerman, Rachel Barton Pine, Gerardo Ribeiro, Edgar Meyer, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Ruggiero Ricci. I played in professional orchestras as an undergrad, including the Shreveport Symphony and the Alexandria Symphony. I was a longtime member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and concertmaster of many orchestras. I have taught classes and led sectionals, from high school onward, at youth music camps and universities. I have played alongside the Milwaukee Symphony. I was a section leader in the Wisconsin State Honors Orchestra and a Chancellor’s Scholar, as well as a Music Performance scholarship recipient, as a graduate music student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I studied with Lewis Rosove and Bernard Zinck. I continued my studies at Northwestern while working with violin soloist David Yonan and the Chicago Fine Arts Society, along with Roland and Almita Vamos. I currently love being a member of the Wisconsin Philharmonic!
As a writer, I have published poems in Blue Heron Review, the Lilliput Review, Third Wednesday, Verse Wisconsin, the 2017 Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets Calendar, The Journal of a Musician, and Echoes Anthology. My poems have been nominated for 2017 Best of the Net. I have enjoyed reading and reviewing poetry for Prick of the Spindle, Flutter Press, Portage Magazine, and Verse Wisconsin. I have written freelance interviews, classical music reviews, and articles for Isthmus The Daily Page (Madison, WI). I have been a speaker and reader at the Southeast WI Festival of Books and the AllWriters’ Summer Free Night for All. I have taught middle and high school summer creative writing courses through Carroll University's Carroll Academy. I have edited copy for technical and academic papers, private businesses, and GE Healthcare. I’m a current member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets.
In my free time, aside from running, reading, writing, studying words and languages, gardening, playing in ensembles, and devouring serious news, I love cooking and spending quite a bit of time kneading dough to make interesting-shaped breads and other delights. I enjoy challenging my musical skills with difficult violin pieces. I still continue to learn and memorize new music in my daily practice sessions! I love sharing everything I learn with my students.
I have taught through many places, most recently as Music Director and Summer Camp Program Director for GMES, in the Oconomowoc Area and Elmbrook School Districts, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, Carroll University, and my congregation, where I am a private tutor and a Sunday School instructor, and where I also enjoy singing for and leading services. I am the owner of Love Art Shop, LLC.
I am currently Executive Director of the Wisconsin Philharmonic.
