About Me

I am a musician, educator, writer, entrepreneur, and nonprofit executive whose work bridges the arts, education, leadership, and community engagement.

My academic background includes an Honors B.A. in Humanities and Social Thought, a Master of Music in Violin Performance, and an MBA in Organizational Development, earned with a 4.0 GPA. Throughout my career, I have combined artistic excellence with a passion for teaching, writing, leadership development, and lifelong learning.

I have served in executive leadership roles within the nonprofit sector. I am also the owner of Love Art Shop, LLC, where I develop creative and educational resources.

As a musician, I began studying music before I could read and have performed professionally with orchestras and ensembles throughout the United States. My studies have included masterclasses with renowned artists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Rachel Barton Pine, Gerardo Ribeiro, Edgar Meyer, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Ruggiero Ricci. My performance experience includes the Wisconsin Philharmonic, Shreveport Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, and collaborations with members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

As a dedicated educator for more than three decades, I have taught music, writing, and foreign languages through universities, schools, arts organizations, and private instruction. My teaching experience includes Carroll University, UW–Waukesha, the Oconomowoc Area and Elmbrook School Districts, congregational education programs, and numerous private studios. I have also served as Music Director and Summer Camp Program Director for GMES and led an Elmbrook LAUNCH student team to a first-place finish in the 2025 cohort.

As a writer and editor, I have published poetry in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including Blue Heron Review, Lilliput Review, Third Wednesday, Verse Wisconsin, and The Journal of a Musician. My work has been nominated for Best of the Net, and I have served as a reviewer, editor, journalist, and speaker for organizations throughout Wisconsin. I formerly served as an Arts & Culture journalist for Isthmus.

Throughout my nonprofit and arts leadership career, I have written successful grants, sponsorship proposals, donor communications, educational materials, and strategic planning documents. My writing experience spans both the creative and organizational worlds, allowing me to combine storytelling, advocacy, and leadership development.

My interests include foreign languages, transformational leadership, literature, gardening, cooking, crocheting, community service, and the ongoing pursuit of artistic and intellectual growth. Whether I am teaching, performing, writing, or leading organizations, I enjoy helping others discover their own potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
